General balance of the historical and artistic relations between Cluny and the Iberian Peninsula from XIth to XIIth century according to recent research. After analysing the different contributions to the historiography on the subject, the author points out that those relations were only fragmentary and that studies on this subject are scarce. It will be necessary, in the future, to prepare more monographic studies and a special program of research on the diffusion of Cluny's prestige in the Iberian Peninsula. The historical and artistic aspects of the above named period, as far as the Catalan and Castilian areas are concerned, are then dealt with in the article.
