In 1455, immediately after the canonisation of Vincent Ferrer, the Sicilian Dominican Pietro Ranzano wrote the Liber de uita beati Vincentii, the first biography of Saint Vincent. In this article, the various early editions of the Liber are presented and the content of the manuscripts (of the two versions of the work) is analysed in order to provide the necessary resources for a future new edition.
