The purpose of chis work is to study the integration of the city of Santo Domingo de Silos in the patrimonial authority of the Velasco family, Constable of Castilla and Duke of Frias, natives from Burgos. In fact, the Count of Haro manages to exchange with the monastery of Silos the city that was born a couple of centuries before, under the protection of the monastery and that depended on him as far as the jurisdiction was concerned. After underlining all the interest that this family could feel to cake possession of this land and, after explaining all the process of integration, we analyze the decrees that the Municipal Council gave, in 15 36, to the city and that are, in fact, texts of a great interest.
