The historiographical debate about continuing or not to populate the valley of the Duero after the Arabic invasion of 711 (key tapie of the peninsular medieval historiography) has pointed out the limits of the documental register when it carne to solve problems like this one, but that by itself is incapable of solving. This arride propases a new mean to enter such a polemic debate. From a concrete area, South East of Galicia nowadays, and thanks to the collection -by prospecting- of religions remains on the surface or of necropolis, we should try to link them with remains of the Roman period (necropolis, epigraphs, «villae», roads, etc.), to elaborare a series of maps to propose, through archaeological and documental interpretation a historical interpretation.
