Abstract


Sir Julio González González died in Madrid on August 22nd, 1991. He was a chairman of Medieval History at the Complutense University of Madrid and was already retired since the academic year 1977-78. He was also a member of the facultative staff of the Archives. His works are centred on the XIIth and XIIIth centuries for the Crown of Castilla. His most important books are: Fernando II, Alfonso IX, Alfonso VIII, Fernando III, Repartimiento de Sevilla and Repoblación de Castilla la Nueva. He also published catalogues about the Archives of the Salamanca Protocol and about the Archives about India in Sevilla. He received the National Prize of History in 1987.
