Church and nobility in the Late Medieval Sevilla

In this work we study the relationship between the sevillian nobility and the Church throught the late Middle Ages. We analyze questions such as the noble family origins of Seville's higher clergymen, the nobility's economic relationships with the Church, the participation of clergymen in factions and alliances of the nobility in fifteen century, the nobiliary interfering in some episcopal elections and, finally, the piety of nobility and her spiritual and legitimating significance.
