Abstract

According a small number of Royal Executories (Reales Ejecutorias: documents to enforce a judgement) lying in the records of the Ancient Chancellery placed in Valladolid, we study an important activity of Castillan and, specially, Basque corsairs; frequently close to the piracy, in the Occident of the Mediterranean Sea; these activities were against the ships of Aragon. We know about these problems through the complaints presented before the Royal Justice, demanding an eviction
