In his work Els Diplomes carolingis a Catalunya, Ramon d’Abadal published the reconstruction of two lost charters of Charlemagne, one for the hispani and the other for the inhabitants of Barcelona. This article revises the sources used and the paragraphs chosen by Abadal, examines their coherence with known sources and puts forward a new, partially different reconstruction.
