Abstract


The general purpose of this paper is, towards municipal source knowledge, to study Treasury incidence of Cortes council, designed by King Martin of Aragon in the city of Valencia between 1401 and 1407. Cortes books of account register some files related to complaints about the Cortes meeting (embassies and aids to the king...), wages (receivers, notary public, bailiffs...), the Cortes development (documents copy and shipment, reading of fueros and other local laws...) and other expenses (city entrance party games, tips to royal officials...). Negotiation, approval and distribution of Cortes economical donation they all also allow approximating us to the city of Valencia´s role inside or against Treasury Department (State Exchequer).
