This article has two objectives. On the one hand, to show to what extent the study of collective urban ceremonies, and specifically royal entries, in Barcelona in the late Middle Ages, is able to furnish useful information for our knowledge of the artesan class and its associations. At the same time, focusing on the participation of the said class in the above mentioned ceremonies can help to make more vivid the image which we have of these events.
