The aim of this piece of work is to analyse the lineage and the domains of the Niño, family from Toledo, who held posts of political responsability during the 15^ century in that city and who built up a patrimony which, according to Salvador de Moxó, covered 3.428 hectares. Their position of political power on the council of Toledo allowed them not only to protect and defend their estate, but also to marry into other even more powerful lineages from the city, such as the Tordelobo, the Barroso and the Ribera families. Their extremely skillful matrimonial strategy brought them very close to the highest tides of nobility in Toledo.
