This paper contains a description of a mediaeval small box made in wood and recovered with leather, with some metal pieces. The leather is decorated with some human figures. After an analyse of the process of manufacture, the authors study the mediaeval craftswork of leather in Catalonia, the technics imported from muslim areas, and the local and european diffusion of leather trade in Middle Ages.
