In a lecture published under its oral form, as it was given, the author tries to show how sketchy the hypothesis of the «ductus» is in the analysis of any script. The study of the «ductus» should be complemented by a profound exam of the morphology of the characters and graphic signs, unique objective element that can be observed today.
